The Six Nations rugby tournament returns for another year and off on 4 February. With plenty of games available to watch live on a range of platforms, here’s where and when to watch all the games on TV or streaming online.
Last year France won the championship with a Grand Slam for the first time since 2010 while the previous winners, Wales, could only muster a single win. Nothing is for certain in this tournament – apart from perhaps who will come last – making it one of the most exciting rugby events on the calendar.
Six Nations 2023: Fixtures & TV channels
Below we have a list of all the Six Nations games over the five weeks. You can see the date, who’s playing, kick-off time and what channel it’s being broadcast on. All times are GMT and the first team is playing home.
Round 4
- 11 Mar – Italy vs Wales – 2:15pm, ITV
- 11 Mar – England vs France – 4:45pm, ITV, BBC
- 12 Mar – Scotland vs Ireland – 3pm, BBC, S4C
Round 5
- 18 Mar – Scotland vs Italy – 12:30pm, BBC, S4C
- 18 Mar- France vs Wales- 2:45pm, ITV
- 18 Mar – Ireland vs England – 5pm, ITV
Watch Six Nations online for free
Every match in the tournament will be shown on BBC One or ITV One in the UK (dates, times and channels above), so you can tune in on your TV or online. Most Wales games will also be shown on S4C.
To watch live online via a PC or laptop you can use the BBC or ITV’s own streaming services, iPlayer and ITVX.
You can opt to pay for ITV X Premium if you want to watch ad-free, although not for live streams, as well as simultaneous streams and downloads. There’s a free 7-day trial then it’s £5.99pm or £59.99 annually.
There will also be a highlights show on BBC One called Six Nations Rugby Special, hosted by Ugo Monye. This will be available on BBC Two and iPlayer from 6:15pm on Sundays.
If you’re not watching via a web browser, then apps are free to download to a phone or tablet from the App Store or Google Play.
If you are not on an unlimited mobile data contract on your phone or tablet you should ensure that you are connected to Wi-Fi to avoid high data charges.

Watching the Six Nations abroad
If you are abroad and want to watch the Six Nations, you can do so using a VPN. You can download a VPN (virtual private network) like Nord VPN or Surfshark to do the job.
